Welcome!

If you haven't been to church in years—or ever— you are so very welcome here. We are a community of people trying to follow Jesus; we gather for worship and we care about each other and our world - imperfectly and authentically.  We have coffee available before and after the service and we'd love to see you!

Is this for me?

  • We welcome you if you've got questions
  • We welcome you if you don't!
  • If you’re looking for a community trying to live like Jesus and navigate life together, please join us Sunday morning!

This Sunday...

Sunday, September 13. 2026

Our Sunday service begins at 10:00am.

**Potluck breakfast service**
Join us earlier for coffee and connection - and stay for worship and learning.

What is a "friend"?

Do you make a distinction between an "acquaintance", and a "friend"?

OR, between a "friend", and a "good friend"?

How do you know someone is truly your friend?

Is it simply that they tell you they're your friend?

How do you have confidence that someone actually cares about you? Loves you?

What do you usually need from them to be assured that they love you?

When you consider your relationship with Jesus, do you think of him as a "friend"? Is he like any of your other friends? Or is he something else?

Let's talk about that...

We're going to gather around tables and share breakfast together, and talk about what it is to be a friend and to have confidence that we're loved.

And we'll break the Bread and share the Cup as we participate in the Body and Blood of Christ.

If you can't make it in person, use this link to access our YouTube channel - ICC YouTube

Worship starts around 10 am...

We look forward to seeing you!

God with us, right where we are

We are a community for the curious, the tired, and the hopeful.
Whether you’re full of faith, full of questions, or have a little of boththere’s a seat for you here.

Everyone is welcome, and we  mean everyone...

Your race, your ability, your gender, your sexuality, your marital status, your age—it all belongs here. Every person matters to God and you matter to us, too. Your gifts, your needsyour whole self—is welcome at Immanuel.

Your journey probably isn’t a straight line.

Life has beauty and mess - for all of us. Walking it together makes a difference. We don’t expect you to have it all together, because we sure don’t. We’re a group of people trying to follow Jesus and love our neighbours better today than we did yesterday.

WHAT TO EXPECT

No pressure....just presence.

Coming to a new place can be intimidating. Here’s the "fine print" so you can relax.

The Vibe

It’s casual! Wear what makes you feel comfortable. You'll be welcomed at the door and if you have kids we'll get them signed in to a program (if they want!) and show them the activity table - then you can have a coffee or tea, and find a seat or someone to chat with!

The Music

We love music that moves us. Sometimes it’s a contemporary melody; sometimes it’s a traditional or reimagined hymn. Our faithful worship team is a blessing!

The Teaching

We talk about things that matter to our community and beyond. God's  love, walking like Jesus, and how the ancient scriptures continue to speak into our lives and our world.

Children's Ministry

They’ll love it here. We have dedicated spaces where they can play, learn, and be exactly who they are in a safe, fun environment.

We offer a weekly Sunday School program for kids
aged 3 - Grade 4, and a BeTween program for kids in grades 5 - 8.  In keeping with our Safe Church protocols, we ask parents to sign their children in before the service.

Kids will be dismissed for their programs part way through the service.

We also offer nursery care for our littlest members!

What we believe

Deep faith... wide embrace.

We believe that God is love, and that love changes everything.

We believe in Jesus.

He is our centre. We look to His life to understand what God is like: compassionate, boundary-crossing, and restorative.

We believe in People.

Every person is an image-bearer of the God. We believe that diversity—in race, gender, ability, and orientation—is a reflection of God’s creativity.

We believe in Restoration

We aren't here to judge the world; we’re here to help heal our little corner of it. We believe in working for justice and being good neighbours.

We believe in the Spirit.

We believe there is a Presence that guides us, comforts us, and keeps pulling us toward a better future.

We don’t have all the answers, but we’re committed to the conversation.
